WordPress allows me to see where in the world our readership comes from. While the US, UK, and most of Europe are, perhaps, to be expected, it seems we’ve picked up readers in all parts of the globe, including places I might not expect to see on the list, such as the United Arab Emirates, Mozambique and the Sudan, to name but three.
US highlighted by wordpress as the most popular source of our readership.
To each and every one of you, I say ‘thank you, welcome, and I hope you’ve enjoyed what you’ve read’. This is one of the truly wonderful aspects of the internet. It has made the world seem much smaller, and shows that we’ve got, wherever we are on this small, insignificant planet, common bonds, whatever our interests, that transcend all of the nonsense spouted by politicians and religious ‘leaders’ around the globe.
To know we’re picking up readers in places that wouldn’t be seen as common bedfellows, people’s humanity kept at arm’s length from one another in the name of religion, politics, or whatever else, is truly humbling. Right around the globe, people are united by their interest in this or that, in our case, being naturist in an online game called Second Life. Wherever you are, whoever you are, I wish you peace, love and my best wishes.
It also reminds me that I really do need to get a translate widget organised for the blog. I’m working on it! 🙂
