Going in search of ‘naturist news’ from RL, something we can replicate in SL, I was talking to SLN publisher Howie at a party he held at his house over the weekend, something that’s becoming an annual ‘felling of the tree’ event when the Christmas tree comes down. Drinkies, cheese and other stuff on sticks, you probably are familiar with the procedure.

And prior to attending, I’d been reading about how 10% of the (US?) population would drive naked if they couldn’t be seen. Howie laughed when I brought it up in conversation. ‘I’ve done that’, he said.

On holiday in a naturist destination, he says he regularly drives naked from his apartment to a nearby naturist beach bar that sells English language newspapers, and then returns home. ‘It’s not a long drive’, he shrugged, ‘but it’s a more comfortable option in the heat of the day. The layout of the place means I could walk it, nude, but that saps your energy in mid-morning, when the English papers arrive.’

Barbara, who was at the party briefly, but about to tp away to do some SL shopping, decided to come with us and sit in the passenger’s seat.

‘Hmm’ said Howie, I normally don’t get a hire car as flash as a Mini Cooper Coupe. It’s generally a Fiat 500. A funky little car in itself, but not a Mini Cooper.’

Barbara was so taken by the experience she says she wants to buy one. ‘We need a naturist sim with a road system’, she laughed. ‘I really want to zoom around naked in one of these too!’.
