Three years ago, I went on a naturist holiday in the company of two friends, neither being naturist. Over the course of the week both did ‘take the plunge’ into naturism. 🙂
Essentially their thinking was that, when exposed to the lifestyle, it all seemed so natural and ordinary that they joined in. Nancy hasn’t maintained a naturist lifestyle, although she says she’d happily go with me again and join in again from day 1, now she knows what to expect. My other friend, who was cast as ‘BB’ for the posts from that holiday did, however, keep up her naturism afterwards.
At the dinner I attended on New Year’s Eve, BB was there (I knew she’d be there) and I took the opportunity to catch up with her about all things naturist in her life.
BB was, and is, a larger sized lady. Not ‘fat’, just one of those ladies who is big in the shoulders and boobs, but who still looks attractive. But shy, because of her size.
For BB, that naturist holiday with Nancy and I was ‘a blinding flash of light, like my life suddenly made sense’.
Naturism, and not being judged on her size, suddenly instilled a new found body confidence in her. And that’s true for everyone, regardless of size. Not being judged on size, age, shape, how pert your buttocks or how saggy your breasts are is indeed an eye opener. Once home, BB decided she’d quite like to join a naturist swim because ‘there’s just a glorious feeling swimming without a costume’, and asked me if I’d accompany her the first time. So we drove (quite a distance, I should add, from where we live) to a naturist swim, met some lovely people and had a great afternoon. My life circumstances are, however, a bit different to BB’s, so I couldn’t commit to being a regular attender (as much as I’d love to). BB, on the other hand, had no family commitments so makes the longish drive almost every week to have her naturist ‘fix’.
I’m happy to report that, through that weekly naturist swim, she has developed (she says) a much more open outlook on life, and through that swim she’s met a guy who lives kind of half way between where we are and where the swim’s held. Because of this, they began car-sharing and then dating.
‘It’s a bit weird when a guy asks you out and you’ve already seen each other naked’, she laughed. ‘We’d been going weekly and chatting naked in the pool with one another for months before we agreed on the car-share, and that drive was the first I’d ever seen him clothed!’
In just a few weeks time, the two of them are off on their first naturist holiday together, staying at the Charco de Palo resort in Lanzarote, part of the Canary Islands (if unfamiliar with the Canary Islands, they’re off the coast of Africa, belong to Spain, and provide many Europeans with ‘winter sun’. It’ll be in the mid 20s, at least, temperature wise even at this time of year).

Naturism, you see, can be life-changing in so many ways.
BB has promised to file a report on her holiday (mid-February) for us at SL Naturist.
(note: I set Nancy and BB up with SL accounts when we were on that holiday. Neither has maintained an SL presence, but I was able to resurrect BBs account for the purpose of illustrating this post and maintaining some sort of continuity with her image from the previous holiday)
