I’ve held back some posts in the past week, as they’re kind of fitting for the next issue of SLN, so worth retaining in the short term. And this post ‘Naked!’ also fits that bill, but I do want to keep the posting turning over, hence its arrival now. ‘Naked!’ is a new naturist sim. There are scores of poseballs around it, so it doesn’t meet my criteria of genuine naturism, but Pookes and Harry have visited and photographed extensively. They’ve persuaded me of its merits, so the post, words by Pookes, photos by Harry, follows on.

Naked, as Ella says in the introduction, does contain a lot of pose balls, and little or no privacy, so it’s not quite the ‘genuine’ naturist location we’re used to promoting in SLN. That said, there’s a vibe I can’t quite put my finger on that says that it does have genuine naturist intent, rather than be a mere sex beach.

We’ve argued extensively over whether or not to include it now, in the Valentine’s Day edition of the mag, or not at all. The loved-up nature of the place means it would be wholly suitable for St. Valentine’s, maybe worth a trip with your SL partner for a little amour 🙂

Harry (who has a new girlfriend, Fanny, photographed) has tried out the poses, which we won’t present as photographs here, and says there are some terrific poses based on the Kama Sutra, and highly recommends them.

Having gone over there, I can certainly say there are some natural looking poses to be found, and I even indulged in a post-coital cigarette without actually having indulged in the coitus 🙂 (see photo above).

There’s a lovely Moorish feel to the architecture, and a sense of spaciousness there. While the more sexual poses may not be something I’ll be trying out (I’m SL-ly single, remember?) in the immediate future, I have to say that Naked is somewhere to keep on your radar for the future.

A slow, post-Christmas ‘blues’, in the context of SL, resulted in no posts last week, which then turned into a self-imposed exile this week (and encouragement that the other staff members do the same), just to recharge the batteries, take stock and properly develop ideas.

But we’ll be back with a couple of posts tomorrow, Wednesday.

Real life has swamped me, so no posts from me this week. I know the others have things in the pipeline, but they’ll post at their convenience.

Still working away in the background, but I’ve nothing I particularly want to post this week, and SL time is very, very limited.

The Mountain Babes are a RL group, and their premise appears to be to indulge in a little mountain or hill climbing (in the USA), at which point they pose naked -rear view only- for photographs.

It’s not overtly sexual, erotic or arousing, but it IS a fun concept, and once again demonstrates how much ordinary people, who would never describe themselves as naturist, become inspired to be naked in nature.

I won’t put any of the mountain babes photos in this post because a) you can see them at the website and b) they’re maybe subject to copyright, but I can say that the whole idea has inspired me, and so I’ve been out, in SL, calling up friends to maybe pose for me. Here’s the first of a series of photos I’ve done featuring SL’s own ‘mountain babes’, and I’ll put some more up on Harry’s Pix Page in the coming days and weeks, as I find willing models and suitable locations.

Like Ella (see the previous post) I too feel that SL has its peaks and troughs. And like Ella I too thought we maybe would be in a quiet period of SL for a few weeks. But we should know by now that SL, when it begins to sometimes feel jaded, has a habit of suddenly producing an item, or items, that we simply must have, and all of a sudden our SL’s take on a new impetus.

While not, naturist in itself, I found an item today that fits in with our theme of naturist (or beach) accessories, and so I have added some photographs to the Naturist Accessories Page, as well as here.

Coco Designs is offering, as part of its group gifts, a clear tote bag, a small shoulder purse/handbag and a variety of other great group gifts. Joining the Coco Group is free, and the past group gifts are all on the wall next to the group joiner, so there’s no real rush to get on over there. I’m anticipating that if you’re not naturist-minded right now (in the northern hemisphere, certainly) because dark and cold nights don’t lend themselves to going au naturel then the bags will still be there at Coco in the summer, when you do feel as if a trip to the SL naturist (or textile) beach is an option.

…SL traditionally gets quiet for a while, ratcheting up again towards St. Valentine’s Day.

SLN’s going to be no different, as we take a mini break from regular blogging to work through some ideas for the forthcoming year and, in my instance, come to grips with Firestorm.

Yes, the odd post is going to pop up from time to time, but the daily posting running up to Christmas will now cease, and we’ll be plotting some ideas, sketching out articles for the ‘mag’, and generally beavering away behind the scenes for a week or two. I don’t expect to have any posts for the next week or so, for example. That said, I do have some RL holidays to take in February. I’m toying with the idea of nipping off to the Med for a week, and indulging in another series of ‘Postcards from Spain’ postings. The beaches will be empty, and clothes will be the order of most days, naturism confined to the indoor pool at the complex I frequent, but it’s still nice to get away for a little while. Even if I opt to stay at home, it’ll be a period in which I can get some posts done and plot out SLN’s plans for the summer.

We meant to post the accompanying pic on Christmas Day, but I got caught up in the festivities and forgot all about it! It’s a rare shot of us online together, and it’s a cute shot, I think, so I’m reluctant to just discard it. Santa hats are maybe as palatable as cold turkey sandwiches right now, but I hope you like the pic anyway.
